Remodelling

Shannon provides a remodelling service using your old jewellery to create something with all its beautiful sentimentality still intact. Old metal, be it gold or silver, can be melted down and forged into new shapes. Stones, new ones bought on travels or your Grandma’s diamonds, can be reset into new contemporary pieces.

Various metals and stones can be remodelled into new pieces. If there isn’t enough material new metal will be added.

Shannon will document the process with photograph so you can see how your old treasure became your new one.

When you bring your old treasure to Shannon she will examine it and advise how best to use it for your new piece. A new design will be discussed, in some cases a sample will be made for fitting.

With old metal it will be smelted to be forged into sheet or wire to make your piece.

Gemstones will be carefully taken out of their old settings, cleaned and securely set into your new piece.

The whole process from beginning to end can take from six to twelve weeks, it varies from each design and the materials that are provided. As a guide pricing begins for silver at £150 and gold at £275.
